Prof Maj Gen Mohammad Quamruzzaman, MBA, psc, MDS, gsc (retd) is the Director-General of Army Institute of Business Administration (Army IBA) Savar and an Adjunct Professor at BUP in the Faculty of Business Studies. He secured one of the top positions in Kumilla Board both in SSC and HSC from Faujderhat Cadet College. He got commission with the 8th BMA Long Course receiving Academic Gold Medal and President Sword of Honour. An Army pioneer MBA from IBA, he founded the Business Studies Department at MIST in 2000 which became the core to raise BUP subsequently. He worked with His Excellency Mr Kofi Annan in the UN and had been a Visiting Faculty Member at KAIPTC in Accra. He retired as a General Officer Commanding of an Infantry Division and an Area Commander. He served in PRAN-RFL Group as a Director and in BRAC and State Universities as a Business Studies Professor. He underwent higher and tertiary education and training in the renowned universities and institutions both at home and abroad including the UN University Tokyo and University of the State of New York Henry George School of Social Science.
